Rebel Reviewed

I've been blessed to have some vegan luminaries endorse my work and offer support.

“We still need our rebels and Todd Sinclair is stepping up as the James Dean of his generation, except that this rebel does indeed have a cause. His band of Rebel Vegans are snubbing the status quo, thriving on a vegan lifestyle, and making some noise about it.

The Rebel Vegan Life series is a delightful and compelling read. It doesn't make its points by causing pre-vegans (or even ex-vegans) to feel bad about themselves, and yet it never falters from its conviction that this way of living is ethically unassailable, environmentally crucial, and both physiologically and nutritionally sound. ”

“REBEL VEGAN LIFE provides a fresh perspective on an important topic. It is insightful, inspiring, and full of practical tips to create a life in line with your values.

There has never been a more urgent time in history to embrace this book and a healthy vegan lifestyle. This book is accessible, inspiring, and has the power to change hearts and minds.”

“For anyone curious about the veganism, there is no better guide to this brave new world than Todd Sinclair.

There is much to recommend in this book, but, ultimately, its most radical triumph is its reappraisal of vegan values and a post-pandemic analysis of why veganism matters.”

“Todd Sinclair has pulled off an outstanding feat in covering all aspects of veganism, from the ethics and nutrition to how to travel the world mindfully and sustainably. Best of all, he does it with a warm, welcoming tone.

The Rebel Vegan series is truly a brilliant resource. With his rigorously researched and unflinching exploration of our current food systems, Todd presents a bulletproof case for embracing veganism.”

“Todd Sinclair has delivered a powerful message that strikes home because he understands why consuming animals is ingrained in us. He takes you on his personal journey, from growing up on a farm to present day animal protector, with thoroughly researched facts that inspire you (and not criticise you) to take a second look at the unconscious choices you're making that affect other humans, non-human beings, and the planet.

This book also becomes a powerful tool to stay focused on your choices with practical tips and resources. Rebel Vegan is the must-read for every omnivore seeking motivation and guidance, not judgement.”

“When it comes to vegan authors, Todd Sinclair is at the top of my list. Not only are his books well researched, Todd engages readers in a way that it makes it difficult to put his books down.

Todd’s writing is compellingly perceptive and razor-sharp. And, most of all, he is passionately aligned with what he writes and the way he lives his life.”

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Superb book for all different types of vegans

There are so many books on veganism and all have different takes on what is “ true veganism “ Are your dog’s vegan? etc - This book has knowledge for all levels of vegans, the militants, the beginners and the part timers and is really enjoyable & fun to read. I finished it in 2 nights. Mostly I love it because It shows vegans as compassionate and loving rather than extremists we are painted as by the mainstream media.

5.0 out of 5 stars The only way to improve this book, would have been to somehow publish it years ago.

This is the approachable, one-stop informative guide to authentic compassionate living, that I wish I'd had when I went vegan nearly a decade ago!

Give yourself everything you need to embark on your journey to stand for the well-being of all sentients, our only planet, and even ourselves, without judgment or any triggering content.

Bolster your confidence and personal drive to make vegan look easy by cultivating a strong stance against the hidden injustices that are putting our future in jeopardy, as well as build your confidence and determination to live in alignment with your truest values.

In this world, where kindness is dismissed for profit, cruel societal norms are pushed upon us automatically, and the destruction of our planet is brushed aside for the status quo, which is making us sick, aren't we all looking for ways to “save the world” while seeking truth and connection in our lives?

A brave new way forward means we can finally hold our heads high, knowing we have made a positive impact in our world, and Rebel Vegan Life is essentially the road map to make that a reality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Resource for Vegans and Pre-Vegans Alike

Todd's book," Rebel Vegan Life: A Radical Take on Veganism for a Brave New World" is a wonderful, accessible, non-preachy guide. Todd's own vegan journey from growing up on his family's dairy farm to landing in a Buddhist monastery, told beautifully in this book, gives him immense credibility as a spokesperson for the movement. The book is packed full of information and useful tips for anyone curious about the vegan lifestyle. I'm already a vegan, but I love finding stories and resources that make me a better, well-informed advocate. And I'm so glad I now have this book on hand.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Latest Vegan Traveling Companion - on Kindle so hopefully I won’t forget it!

Whilst eagerly awaiting much needed post-covid travel, I’m dipping into Todd Sinclair’s “Vegan Rebel”, for ideas on places and approaches I hadn’t previously thought of, especially as in the past it has been tricky to find good vegan eating in some countries - but hopefully not anymore!!! This latest in the “Vegan Rebel” series has a pretty decent range of enticing ideas - 15+ countries, city breaks and more.

I bought the second “Rebel” book in print, I enjoyed the look and feel of it, found it nicely produced, clear, concise, accessible. Travelling light means I’ve got this one on Kindle ready to go. It has the same qualities, great design, informative, and an easy read, with plenty of useful information on destinations covered; Asia & SouthEast Asia, Pacific, Australia & NZ, Europe (even Ireland) plus as far afield as Costa Rica, Peru, Japan and Jamaica!

I already have a few vegan guides (“LonelyPlanet Food”, “Will Travel For Vegan” and some Jackie Kearney’s inc. “Street Food”), but I’d be happy to recommend this first. For me it has the depth of the “Lonely Planet” or “Street Food” books, but with easygoing style of “Will Travel For Vegan Food”. The Rebel Guides have really useful information and unique ideas, plus much I haven’t seen before in books, including tips for linking up with local communities, festivals and events, online groups, an up to date reading list, suggestions for documentaries and links to exclusive additional recipes for readers.

Throughout the book you gain a strong insight for Todd's unique, humble but in-depth experience of veganism, combined with travel experiences and anecdotes which are fun to read. I think this Rebel Guide offers useful information and inspiration for those of us who from time to time have experienced difficulties travelling in countries which are a little tricky for vegans.

The Rebel Vegan books are getting rave reviews and I can see why. I’ll be coming back to it regularly.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is excellent - unlike other travel guides I've read before. I really recommend it.

I'm really enjoying this excellent book. It's thoroughly interesting and factual, yet practical too.

It's so good to have the insights from someone who shares the same potential travel issues - not wanting to eat animals or experience animal suffering in the process of taking a trip. Yes I'm trying to fly less and I'm conscious of the impact of travel - but I still want to explore and learn about the World.

Todd's writing is really enjoyable to read. This book has a bit of everything and I really recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy This Vegan Travel Guide!

As an experienced vegan traveller, I still learned so much from this book! Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore a little more of the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Carefully researched and extensive!

I you're travelling and you're vegan, you NEED this book!

Firstly, I'd like to admit that I met the author while backpacking through Southeast Asia when he was working as a travel guide; at which Todd was absolutely exemplary! This book—much like his work as a guide—is very carefully researched and filled to the brim with incredible, first-hand knowledge. It comes as no surprise that someone whose career was to travel for decades would write such a stellar guide about finding resources for other travellers.

I was thrilled when I discovered my home city in this book, too; finding my favourite vegan haunts listed! Which only further solidifies that this book is the perfect companion for every traveller looking to maintain their vegan lifestyle and diet while out in the world, especially now with many restrictions lifting and tourism opening up again!
